Mission Statement: Finances are the life blood of any family, city, county, state, nation; therefore, it is of paramount importance to educate individuals and families as to the many options available to them in managing and preserving their assets for a lifetime and for generations to come. Financial health is as critical as physical health. "He who controls the money, controls." Purpose: Lord & Carter was founded in 1991 for the purpose of understanding the monetary system in the United States and for understanding the means for attaining financial security. Lord & Carter is an educational foundation dedicated toward those ends. For persons whose parents worked in the banking industry or who managed their finances to provide freedom for their families, this may not seem critical; however, for those of us who grew up outside the financial realm of financial management and who have lived a life time from paycheck to paycheck, financial management has seemed a mystery the solution of which, to us, has not been accessible. Through education Lord & Carter aspires to equip individuals and families with the tools necessary to plan their own financial futures, to educate their young children and to establish a family pattern of communication, a sharing of goals, entrepreneurial encouragement, independent living and the ability to take full responsibility for one's financial status.
